William Stevens Bio
By: William Stevens
I grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas where I inherited my love of History from my Father.  I have been interested in the Civil War since childhood and have participated in Civil War reenactments in the United States and Europe since 1983.  I also serve as a crew member on a 6 pound 3 inch cannon with my family and friends.  Together we conduct Living History presentations for schools and other interested groups and/or events.  I live in the Central Arkansas area where I work as a Human Resources Manager for a Company, and I also work part time with the Old State House Museum as a Living History Interpreter.  I obtained my Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR) in 2008

I portray Arkansas characters such as Isaac Murphy and Sgt Thomas Cavanaugh, a native of Little Rock, who served with the Pulaski Light Artillery (Woodruff's Battery), Weaver's Light Artillery & Blocher's Battery during the Civil War.
