The 6th Infantry Living History Association is a group of living historians who interpret military, civilian and Indian history in the Eastern Oklahoma region from 1817 to 1850. The 6th Infantry conducts living history programs about all aspects of life on the frontier, including: U.S. Rifle Regiment (1817- 1820s); U.S. Infantry (1830s - 1850); U.S. Regimental Field Music (1820s -1850);
U.S. Military support personnel(1830s-1850); 19th century American Indians; civilians (1817 - 1850); and garrison life in the 1830s - 1840s. The 6th Infantry's home is
Fort Gibson Historic Site.
